  • In the autumn semester, Cisco volunteers brought a series of volunteering activities for Netspring students. Notably, they taught coding classes to migrant students around Shanghai and animation design which inspired the children to discover the digital world and new environmental topics.

  • The Owens Corning (OC) Global Finance Operations & Reporting (GFOR) Team volunteered around the world by giving back to their local communities in a variety of ways. Every year, OC employees devote thousands of hours of their time to address social needs by working side-by-side with their partners such as Netspring. 

    On September 11th, 2020, by collaboration with Netspring, Owens Corning GFOR Shanghai finance team members participated in the global volunteering day with the purpose of making the world a better place, they hand-made blankets for underprivileged children in migrant school and wrote the wish cards for the children.

    We are glad that school updates and activities planning have resumed with our supporters, bringing new perspectives after the lock-down period.
     
  • On the occasion of the World Environment Day, we would like to thank all supporters who have provided their unwanted computers and e-waste, and more specifically companies who participated in our 13th e-waste recycle drive with AmCham Shanghai last April. We received twice as much contribution as last year, reaching nearly 1.5 tons of unwanted electronics which will be either recycled or re-used in our Green IT Classrooms. Grateful   thanks to AmCham Shanghai for supporting NETSPRING children for more than 7 years.
     
  • After celebrating Children’s Day on June 1st, most of primary schools’ students in China were back on campus, marking the beginning of the spring semester of 2020 after a long suspension due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, sailing with new start and new hope.
     
    Both students and teachers were excited to meet again, with new social distancing measures in schools. Various entrance education programs have been conducted to ensure a smooth and safe school day.
     
  • Sharing Dreams of Minority Students: Faurecia Opened its 8th Green IT Classroom in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province
    Crossing mountains and rivers, Netspring team came to the newly supported rural school located in the distant Miao Autonomous County of Liuzhou, Guangxi Province. On December 3rd, 2019, Faurecia inaugurated its 8th “Netspring Green IT Classroom" and an “Art Classroom” in collaboration with a partner organization. Mr. Tardif, President of Faurecia China, and enthusiastic volunteers attended the inauguration ceremony of the two new classrooms and enriched the school's education resources.
     
  • Netspring has collaborated with AmCham Shanghai over the past 7 years. Today, in preparation of the forthcoming Earth Day, we are happy to launch our 13th e-waste recycling drive with AmCham Shanghai which will take place on April 24th (Friday), 2020!

    Besides drop-offs in Shanghai, Netspring can now manage the recycling or re-use of bulk quantities of obsolete computers/office equipment in other cities across China.
