Event: AmCham Donation Drive 2015

May 2015 Donation Drive for Used Electronic Items (Please click the title to find more on AmCham website)

AmCham Shanghai, in collaboration with Netspring Social Enterprise, successfully coordinated an electronics donation drive on May 13, 2015, collecting 26 desktops, 27 LCD screens, 53 laptops, and 12 sets of new keyboard and mice, along with other related parts from over 20 companies in Shanghai.  All collected items will be refurbished and distributed to create computer classrooms in elementary schools throughout rural villages in China as part of the Green IT Classrooms.  Any unusable items will be disposed of properly to prevent e-harm waste.

The AmCham Shanghai Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Network Suzhou Center also joined the donation drive for its first year, collecting in total 58 desktop computers, 14 LCD screens, 28 laptops and other related parts from six companies in Suzhou.

In the previous years 2013 and 2014, Netspring has received nearly 809+ used computers from AmCham members, refurbished 377+ sets of computers, and supported 19+ schools and community centers to setup Green IT Classrooms for the underprivileged.
