Dec 24th, 2018: Season’s Greetings and Thank You for Supporting Netspring Children!

Season’s Greetings and Thank You for Supporting Netspring Children!

2018 has been a very busy year for Netspring team.

On top of running our Green IT classrooms, visiting our schools and students, enhancing our teaching and volunteering programs, we have also launched the Netspring Green 3R Box to collect obsolete electronics as well as pursued our journey in fostering digital inclusion for the Visually Impaired.

We have also welcome MBA and Innovation students from universities around the world, who showed strong interest in learning more about social innovation in China.

We would also like to share our CSR award for “Excellence in Responsible Innovation” from the European Chamber in China with all our partners, with whom Netspring long-term positive educational and environmental impacts have been created.

Finally, we wish you and your family, a very happy new year and hope that our paths will cross in 2019 to create further impact for our underprivileged communities and our planet.

Special Thanks to Owens Corning Beijing Volunteers for Teaching about Green Energy

Netspring Green IT Classroom program was really a great help not only for our children but also for our teachers. Among all the organizations, you are the one who cares the most for our kids and teachers.                                                                                                                             - Owens Corning Beijing School's Teacher

This December, Netspring organized a volunteering activity in Owens Corning Green IT Classroom near Beijing. Children were taught by enthusiastic Owens Corning volunteers, most of whom already participated to Netspring activities in previous year, as they wished to repeat their joyful experience to share their passion and knowledge about environment protection and technology. During the activities, students learnt about green energy and daily garbage sorting to protect our environment. They were also guided to make a short animation with their own ideas and creativity.

Owens Corning launched its first Netspring Green IT Classroom in Yuhang in 2014, over the last 4 years, 5 Green IT Classrooms for migrant and rural schools were built in Zhejiang Yuhang, Beijing Changping, Guangzhou Huangpu, Shaanxi Xi’An, and Zhejiang Jiashan, positively impacting the education and lives of around 3,000 underprivileged children.

Thanks for Owens Corning’s long-term support in widening our underprivileged children’s horizons, opportunities and IT and technology education.
