Discover the Power of Computer Science: PVH opened its first Green IT Classroom in China

The school made me memorized my childhood, it looked familiar to me. With the opening of our Green IT classroom, we would like our migrant students to discover the power of computer science in the information era, it makes our world without boundary, brings us to anywhere in the world in less than one second and make learning easier. We encourage our students to give back to our society and country to show “WE Care” when you grow up.”

- Archie Leung, Senior Director, PVH China

On March 15th, 2019, PVH Corp. opened its first Green IT classroom to foster digital inclusion for migrant students in Jiashan, Zhejiang province. The inauguration was attended by Archie Leung, Senior Director of PVH China and 17 enthusiastic PVH volunteers. To reduce education inequality, this program will provide 550+ students of grades 3-6 with the opportunity to learn digital skills and broaden their perspectives.

Volunteers from PVH organized two strongly interactive lessons in the new IT classroom for 80 students. The joyful and friendly atmosphere made every students enjoy the class and eager to share their ideas with volunteers. Besides IT class, two vivid environmental protection lessons were also taught with the theme of garbage sorting. Students spent an unforgettable and fruitful day with passionate volunteers.

We wholeheartedly would like to thank PVH for their dedication to building up their Green IT classroom for underprivileged students.

“We are grateful to PVH and Netspring who helped us solve our problem of lack of IT resources, bridge our students to access the internet and connect us with the outside world.”
