Jan. 2022: Happy Year of the Tiger! May Netspring Green IT Programs Help Children Fly Higher !

The year of the Tiger, which symbolizes majesty, justice and bravery, is upcoming! We wish you happiness and prosperity for the New Year!
In 2021, Netspring accelerated digital education and the remote support to the students and their teachers during the epidemic period was greatly appreciated by our schools. In December, we also won the European Chamber CSR awards. As the new lunar year is approaching, we’d like to extend our appreciation to all our partners and supporters who made our achivements possible!
Looking ahead, in 2022, despite challenging global conditions, we will strive to further innovate for more impact with our partners.

On the Road for Owens Corning Volunteering Activities:
Owens Corning Service and Volunteer Day in Shanghai
The Owens Corning (OC) Global Finance Operations & Reporting (GFOR) Team volunteered gave back to their local communities around the world in a variety of ways. In 2021, OC Shanghai GFOR volunteers devoted their time to have a series of meaningful activities. Particularly worth noting is a new activity on the key topic of Carbon Neutrality which was held in a migrant school in Shanghai partnering with Netspring.
In the past five years, thanks to Netspring and its well-built Green IT Programs which meet the needs of our communities, Owens Corning China has been able to implement our sustainable development goals whilst serving our communities. We have helped more than 5,000 children of migrant schools in different factory locations. There is nothing more gratifying and rewarding than seeing students access to computers and accumulate IT and environmental knowledge. Their future is promising, together we can make their future even better!

Coding Classes in the Eyes of Netspring Children – Delivered by Cisco Volunteering Activities

At the end of Dec., 2021, Cisco volunteers came to one of our Shanghai migrants’ school again to deliver coding classes to our students. Thanks to their support, one Grade 5 student won the gold award at our students’ art competition during the 2021 Franco-Chinese Environmental Month in the coding animation category.

“I never had the opportunity to learn coding before Cisco volunteers came to our school, I am so glad to have learnt these amazing skills and am eager to have the IT classes frequently, as the volunteers not only teach us coding animation but also encourage us with their creative designed giveaways. I wish I could be an IT engineer when I grow up and would like to say thank you to Cisco teachers. ”
