Dearest Partners,
At least 5 Mio computers are abandoned in China every year and most of them will be dismantled in a very rough way. Meanwhile more than 50 million rural students in China have no access to computers.
Founded in March 2013, Netspring Social Enterprise is turning three years old. Our vision is to turn e-waste into education: many obsolete computers are still in a good condition and could be reused after appropriate repair. At the same time, we hope to become a successful social enterprise to enable stakeholders to participate in solving society’s problems through a feasible business model.
To achieve this vision, our “Green IT Classrooms” project includes the following missions:
1. To promote environmental protection, as well equal opportunities in education and the concept of social enterprises: Social Wellness for All, Environmental Protection by All.

Thanks for your support, we are improving everyday!
Netspring Social Enterprise established in 2012, in the past 2 years our program has become more and more mature.
- More efficient Green IT Classrooms by a new team member who is focusd on supporting volunteering and school teachers by developing course ware;
- More qualified Green IT Classrooms by professional refurbishment team with 3 years technical support;
- More environment friendly with 2 licensed eco-recycling partners. We not only give a new life to obsolete computers but also eco-recycle them after 3 years. -
June 10, AmCham Shanghai, in collaboration with Netspring Social Enterprise, coordinated a second annual Donation Drive event for used electronics.
All the equipment refurbished will be used in “Green IT Classroom” project, helping poverty rural schools to build IT classroom. All the equipment without renewable value will be hand over to qualified environmental manufacturers for disposal.The manufacturers will issue disposal write-off vouchers of waste electronic products designated recycling and environmental protection.
Up to now, we have received used equipment from about 26 companies and individuals via AmCham Donation Drive event. Special thanks to individual contributors: Gary Mi, James T. AREDDY, Jowyn Goh, John T. Touchton, Miles Davison, Manuela Tournier, they brought the equipment directly to our company or sent to us by Express.
